In 1951 Mother Mary Mae Maier walked barefoot across the Himalayas to a secret city of yogis and renunciates and spoke to them about service to humanity.  She called upon them to cooperate in the spiritual work with all those who have real knowledge.  She knew that only a few truly understood her message, but those few suggested to her that when she returned to America, she should move to Mt. Shasta and they would send seekers to her.  Good Is Never Lost presents most of Mother Mary's writings prepared for the public, with excerpts of Atlantis Speaks Again and some of its source materials, including information about a base-12 system of numerology said by Mother Mary to be derived from "the mathematics of the Atlantean Brothers of Solitude".  She regarded her inn at Mount Shasta, where the Silk Road Chai Shop is currently located, to be a contact point for all the true spiritual traditions working to further the Divine Plan, and practiced her knowledge silently, without recognition from society.
